Description

A leading regional retirement and investment consulting firm with clients located throughout the Northeast region looking to add an Account Executive with Pension knowledge.
Looking for an experienced sales professional with high energy and the motivation needed to help drive growth and deliver excellence. In this position, you'll identify and cultivate new prospects from relationships built with referral sources such as accountants and lawyers, and other direct prospecting efforts to effectively close sales. If you believe in the power of building relationships, you will receive the tools and support you need to connect with retirement plan sponsors ranging from municipalities to corporations to start-ups. You’ll be able to use your knowledge of the defined benefit and defined contribution industry to help organizations throughout the Northeast provide better retirement plans for their employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Develop and execute a cold calling strategy to target prospects
§ Assist consultants by mining existing clients for referral business
§ Build mutually beneficial relationships with accountants, lawyers and other business partners
§ Reach or exceed assigned sales goals
§ Implement sales strategies
§ Connect customers' business needs with client's services
§ Build network in person, via phone and email with key decision makers in a designated territory
QUALIFICATIONS:
§ Bachelor's degree or equivalent
§ Understanding of ERISA laws and retirement products/services in the qualified and non-qualified retirement plan environment
§ Experience in sales environment with proven track record
§ Highly effective communication skills - oral, written and group
§ Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills
§ Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with prospective and existing clients
§ Organizational skills and effective time management to succeed in a semi-autonomous, fast-paced environment
§ Analytical skills to understand complex retirement plan strategies and pricing
§ Ability to travel 10%-20%, mostly in-state with minimal overnight required
§ Motivated, self-starter with the interest to learn new information quickly and independently
§ Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and various file manipulation skills on a PC
