Actuarial Analyst -- Health-8983
Contributes to client projects through building and/or updating spreadsheets, programming and checking code, reviewing and documenting work. Requires ability to work on several projects at once (typically 2 - 4 projects) and interact effectively with colleagues on all levels. Client contact is generally limited at this level. Continued progress on actuarial exams is expected.
Review, organize and analyze statistical data; develop and utilize actuarial models; analyze healthcare costs and utilization data; implement solutions under actuaries’ supervision.
Bachelors in Actuarial Science or related degree
All candidates should have results-driven orientation, good writing and speaking skills, the ability to balance several projects at once, proficiency with spreadsheets and database applications (Excel, Word, and database applications), and an understanding of programming (SAS/SQL)
A minimum of one year in the health care field
Critical thinking skills, sound judgment and decision making ability, and both the ability and willingness to clearly articulate your ideas
An inherent sense of the value of collaboration
The ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Proven ability to work in a fast-pace environment where the client is always first
