Description

Client looking to add a Pension Actuarial Analyst to their growing practice. Analyst will work, independently and in a team environment, under the guidance and mentorship of talented consultants and will have the opportunity to advance within the company. The company will help support the Analyst in their pursuit of actuarial credentials through a competitive actuarial exam program.
The Pension Actuarial Analyst will work a hybrid schedule consisting of at least 2 days in their Washington DC area office and the remaining business days from their home office.
Duties:
Complete actuarial valuations for multiemployer pension plans under the supervision of experienced actuaries and consultants

Assist with special projects related to emerging retirement plan issues
Create and update actuarial valuation software, Microsoft Excel workbooks, and Microsoft Access databases
Analyze census data, liabilities, and assets to identify historical and projected future trends

Prepare effective presentations for communicating results to clients
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Accounting, or a related field

A minimum of 2 years of experience working at an actuarial consulting firm is preferred

Experience with defined benefit pension plans, especially multiemployer plans, is preferred

At least 1 actuarial exam passed

Experience with ProVal (an actuarial valuation software)
