Description

Smaller consulting firm looking to add an Actuarial Analyst to their retirement practice. Ideally this person would have 1-3 years of applicable pension actuarial experience, however also willing to consider strong entry level candidate with no experience as long as currently located in California and having at least 2 exams passed.
Duties:
Analyst will work directly with 3 senior level actuaries to provide a full range of actuarial consulting services.
Will develop tools and leading edge solutions for all types of retirement plans including Defined Benefit, 401K, Matching, Profit Sharing, Cash Balance, Non-Qualified, and Retiree Medical.
Will begin working on data processing, actuarial valuations, benefit calculations, participant statements, government filings, document requests, report preparation, and trust accounting.
As Analyst progresses, role will be expected to consult with and meet with clients.
Manage projects or portions of projects under supervision and training of senior actuaries.
Qualifications:
Ideally looking for 1-3 years of pension actuarial experience. Willing to consider solid entry level candidates if already located in California.
Minimum 2 exams passed would be ideal
ProVal experience would be highly preferred.
