Description

Smaller firm looking to add an experienced Actuarial and/or Administrative Analyst to their practice. This position requires experience with defined benefit plans. Experience working on public sector clients a big plus. The work will be both administration - calculations as well as actuarial - valuation type work. Many of the public sector pension plans will be for Pennsylvania plans. This can be a fully remote opportunity.
Duties:
Actuarial Valuations for Public & Private Sector Defined Benefit Pension Plans
Request, organize, and review participant data for reasonableness
Run annual valuations using actuarial valuation software
Check valuation results to be presented to the actuary
Draft reports
Benefit Calculations for Plan Participants
Prepare benefit certifications including calculation of all optional forms of payment
Required Minimum Distribution calculations
Draft Government Filings (Form 5500s, PBGC premiums, 8955-SSA)
Annual Regulatory Compliance Checks
Qualifications:
Looking for 1+ years of prior work experience related to defined benefit actuarial/administration services
Public sector experience required.
Proficient with ProVal actuarial valuation software a plus, but not required.
Familiarity with OPEB plans is also a plus.
Actuarial exams will be supported, however this role would be ideal for a non-exam taker.
