Description
The Actuarial Assistant III provides actuarial analysis and technical skills in support of fulfilling the strategic objectives for the Valuation Actuarial Department. The associate contributes to the management and financial success of annuity and retirement products by performing GAAP modeling, attribution analysis, analyzing in-force business, and performing model testing duties.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with major or minor in Actuarial Science or Mathematics
• Passed 4-5 exams
• Minimum of two years of actuarial experience
• Experience with actuarial software required (Prophet, CASE, MG-Alpha, MG-Triton, etc.),
• Strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently
Preferred requirements:
• ASA
• Experience in the valuation / financial reporting area, GAAP preferred
• Prophet experience preferred
• Coding experience in SQL, VBA, Python, etc. preferred
• Annuity (VA, FA, FIA) and/or Life GAAP Modeling experience preferred
