Insurance company in the Midwest has multiple needs for Actuarial Assistants or Actuarial Analysts. Key responsibilities involve developing and managing projects, analyzing results and providing options and recommendations for a variety of assignments. The incumbent will be involved with the following types of projects: - Performing new product pricing models - Developing product management tools and conducting studies - Business forecasting - Implementation of new valuation methods -Performing actuarial research supporting: product pricing and development; hedging and risk mitigation methods; valuations and insurance regulations -Preparing financial reports and analysis, actuarial memos and responses in support of: new product research filings and rollouts; requests from external auditors, state regulators and rating agencies; parent company requests and requirements. Additionally, the incumbent will perform experience studies and assist in the development of pricing, projection or valuation assumptions. The incumbent may supervise/train/direct other entry-level actuaries.
Possible remote position.
Qualifications:
1-6 years of Actuarial experience within an Annuity or Life Insurance capacity
Pre-ASA or ASA designation
Ability to function in a highly collaborative environment and interact with key players and cross-functional departments
