Description
As a Consultant in the Corporate practice within Risk and Analytics, you will work on project teams focused on developing and delivering reserve studies, pricing/funding analyses and captive consulting activities for our healthcare and corporate clients. You will be responsible for data preparation as well as producing and analyzing initial results. You will work closely with a variety of consultants and senior project managers who will help you increase your knowledge and sharpen your actuarial skills - all while providing a blend of client facing skills as well. As a new project manager, you will bring order and process to the client teams with whom you work, and you will serve as a resource to analysts as you help them build their technical expertise. As part of our Corporate practice, you will be mentored by more senior colleagues with deep relevant experience.
The Role
As a Consultant, you will contribute to varied and interesting projects such as:
Self-Insurance and Captives - Pricing/funding analyses, valuation of liabilities, captive feasibility, and risk retention optimization
Predictive Modeling - Development and application of advanced predictive modeling techniques to help clients improve loss experience and enhance overall business performance
Analysis of Loyalty rewards programs for various industries

As Project Manager, support project profitability through effective project management
Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by drafting proposals and responding to RFPs
Qualifications:
The Requirements
Bachelors’ Degree required
Actuarial exam progress toward ACAS and/or FCAS credentials is highly encouraged
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Access
Programing skills such as VBA, R or Python and proficient knowledge of manipulating databases like SQL would be an advantage
Strong written and oral communication skills
Well organized and detail oriented
Ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
Ability to ask the right questions and seek help where appropriate
Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues; strong client service orientation
Interest and ability to think beyond the task at hand and understand how one’s work fits into the broader landscape
Strong analytical and integrative skills including ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data in a logical, systematic way
