Experience/Education:

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field
Seven or more years of healthcare actuarial experience. Experience in the following areas would be considered a plus.
Medicaid rate-setting
Reserving and year-end statutory financials (“blue” and “orange” blanks)
ACA pricing/rate filing
Medicare Advantage, especially:
Bid development and understanding of revenue mechanisms (e.g., risk scores, star ratings)
Experience with dual-eligible Special Needs Plans
Value-based provider contracting

Requirements:

FSA designation
Good writing and speaking skills
Proficiency with Excel
Ability to work both independently and in team environments
In addition to the requirements listed above, we would like candidates that possess the following qualifications and skills:

Some knowledge of SAS, SQL, or R
Proven ability to work in a fast-pace environment where client satisfaction is key
Strong understanding of the US healthcare system
Demonstrable skills in presenting technical concepts to a non-technical audience in an understandable way
Ability to manage junior staff in the completion of projects and guide their development
Entrepreneurial spirit
