Benefits Consultant - Health-8505
Client looking to add a Benefits Consultant to growing practice who can develop and manage client relationships in a primary role. This mult-faceted role offers the opportunity to have a significant and positive impact on the continued growth of Health and Welfare benefits consulting business. Role includes client management, project management and new business development.
Act as lead consultant, manage projects and be a part of overall business development tasks
Manage client relationships
Understand client issues, anticipate client needs and navigate various potential solutions.
Provide high level of creative, innovative, and strategic expertise to clients and colleagues around issues and emerging developments in the employee health benefits industry.
Collaborate with others to build and maintain effective and influential client relationships
Lead and/or participate in new business development initiatives targeting existing and prospective clients in the Public Sector and Multi-Employer markets
8+ years of experience within an employee benefits consulting and/or related services environment involving exposure to health plan strategies, concepts/approaches, design and implementation in the multi-employer and/or public sector environment.
Ability to step into a direct client contact role and work collaboratively with a diverse audience of clients and colleagues.
Ability to negotiate contracts, attend new business presentations, and effectively interact with clients and staff.
Strong understanding of financial reports, renewal calculations, annual projections, and ability to conduct high level of review.
Demonstrated success as a relationship builder/collaborator.
Actuarial credentials a plus.
Demonstrated success managing client relationships and responsibility for increasing revenue.
