Cash Profitability-Actuary - Life - 9565
Insurance company in the Midwest has a need for a Cash Profitability Actuary to be responsible for Asset Adequacy Testing, Asset-Liability Management (ALM) Reporting, and Cash Flow reporting using asset-liability models, within the fixed indexed annuities and other small annuity blocks of business. As a manager of the cash profitability team, the incumbent contributes to the execution of the reporting framework and associated analysis. This role will have 2-3 direct reports.
Leads timely and accurate reporting, validation, and analysis of Asset Adequacy ALM metrics, and free cash flows, as well as reinsurance impact analysis.
Provides subject matter expertise to team members and internal/external stakeholders on the cash flow-based reporting framework.
Leads VM-22 Field Testing
Collaborates with Corporate Actuarial Teamand other teams to share results and influence/support optimized business strategy development.
Collaborates with Investments team to model and validate asset cash flows and key metrics from MG-ALFA
Leads employees with responsibility for managing the employee life cycle and experience
Monitors developments in the actuarial industry, and remains current on applicable regulatory and accounting matters and best practices.
6+ years of progressively responsible related actuarial experience, or equivalent combination of education/and experience
ASA or FSA designation
Strong knowledge of fixed indexed annuities; asset-liability models
3+ years of experience utilizing MG-ALFA actuarial software or an alternative actuarial software
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents from regulatory agencies, and other members of the business community.
Ability to effectively present technical information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
