Smaller actuarial, consulting, and retirement plan administration firm in Chicago area looking to add an experienced Pension Administrator to their staff. This particular role could potentially consider a remote employee if the perfect fit. Firm provides tax professionals with innovative retirement plans and tax shelters. Their concentration lies in the design, installation and annual administration of retirement plans for those individuals seeking the optimal tax-deductible contribution. They currently administer about 1000 plans and are supported by a staff of 20+ employees, including actuaries, consultants and qualified plan administrators. Ideal candidate would have 2-10 years of hands on small plan administration experience. Most of their work is within the small plan arena, so having small plan experience is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Defined Benefit and/or Defined Contribution plan administration.
Preparation of valuations, trust accounting, reporting packages, participant statements, 5500's and plan terminations.
Non-discrimination and top heavy testing.
Requirements:
2+ years of hands on small plan retirement plan administration experience.
Willing to support various exams including actuarial
Datair experience a plus.
Experience with compliance testing and trust accounting
Experience with both DC and DB plans preferred.
Tax shelter/small plan experience preferred.
