Consulting Firm has a need for an Employee Benefits Consulting Manager. The incumbent will focus on the legal aspects of Employee Benefits Consulting including: considering ERISA and tax issues associated with employee benefit plans, executive comp agreements, M&A, payroll and HR functions; assisting with international issues, serving employee benefit consulting functions,(i.e.-writing internal and external ERISA and tax alerts on current developments and emerging planning techniques), assisting with internal ERISA and tax education functions and client relationship management.
Qualifications:
· 5-8 years of experience in an employee benefits related field (professional, legal, tax or accounting services environment are preferred but not mandatory)
· Graduation form an accredited law school, and actively preparing for or have passed the Bar exam
Strong interest in tax law, knowledge of employee benefit laws, ERISA, tax laws, IRS Code and Regulations, Department of Labor compliance and resolution
