Rapidly growing firm looking to build out an actuarial practice. This will be the second health actuary added in a short amount of time. This Health Actuarial Associate will:
Manage the accurate delivery of financial analyses on various actuarial projects.
Assist with strategy development for medical, dental, life, and disability programs.
Will create deliverables, provide direction to other colleagues on the team and mentor junior members.
Research industry, regulatory, and legislative trends for calculating risk, liability, and cost for customer or government reports.
Add value by implementing creative solutions for clients.
Ensure compliance with government agencies and corporate policies and procedures.
Foster and seek relationships with teammates across all levels of organization.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of health actuarial work experience, ideally coming out of a large consulting firm environment, but also willing to consider insurance carrier experience as well.
ASA or nearing ASA would be preferred.
Advanced knowledge of employee benefits underwriting. Thorough understanding of complex benefit concepts such as health care management, flexible benefits and alternative funding.
