Specialty consulting firm looking to add a Health and Benefits Consultant who can develop and manage client relationships in a primary role. This Consultant will lead client teams and play an active role in mentoring and developing staff. Role will include client management, project management and new business development. Will have primary relationship accountability.
Duties:
Act as lead consultant including meeting with clients, manage client financial performance, collaborate with other service providers, managing projects and new business development.
Establish and build effective working relationships
Understand client issues, anticipate client needs and navigate potential solutions.
Provide high level of creative, innovative and strategic expertise to clients and colleagues around issues and developments in the employee health benefits industry.
Lead and/or participate in new business development initiatives targeting existing and prospective clients in the public and multiemployer markets
Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience within an employee benefits consulting and/or related environment involving exposure to health plan strategies, concepts/approaches, design and implementation in the multi-employer and/or public sector environment.
Ability to step immediately into a direct client contact role.
Ability to negotiate contracts, attend new business presentations and interact with clients and staff.
Deliver/present complex information into actionable terms that clients will grasp.
Strong understanding of financial reports, renewal calculations, annual projections, etc., and ability to conduct high level review.
Demonstrated success as a relationship builder/collaborator
FSA designation highly preferred, but not required.
