The Health and Benefits Consultant acts as a consultant on some client accounts and/or supports the lead consultant or strategic consultant in managing client accounts in the large/jumbo market. The consultant interacts with clients and develops relationships, is involved in developing strategies to meet clients' needs, and takes on the role of a trusted advisor. The consultant will also manage projects and lead teams in researching, analyzing, and evaluating medical, dental, life and disability benefits plans and programs.
Qualifications and Responsibilities
· Minimum of five years of group health and benefit plan experience with group health
· Ability to partner and lead teams to deliver project objectives
· Ability to work effectively on a team and independently under general supervision
· Superior written and verbal communication skills
· Experience working with data and analysis
· Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills
· Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment often at the last minute
· Strong project management skills managing a diverse set of stakeholders
· Ability to scale communication up and/or down when articulating data and strategy
· Critical thinking abilities in a dynamic employer focused healthcare environment
· Applies sense of urgency to work deliverables
· Proven relationship management skills
· Defines, organizes, and takes responsibility for timely completion of tasks and priorities within CRM and RFP applications

· BA/BS degree required
· Must be proficient using the Microsoft Windows platform and the following standard software programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet-based research, and internet-based research systems
