Client looking to add a Manager - Provider Settlements - Senior Products. Looking for someone who would have either Actuarial Contracting and/or Medicare experience. Both would be ideal. Must also have experience managing staff and at least 3 if not more.

This manager position will lead a portfolio of initiatives to support the provider settlement activities for the Medicare business segment, including forecast development, settlement reporting and payment, and the calculation and evaluation of Medicare Advantage provider risk deals. It will have a staff of healthcare analysts, actuarial students and/or credentialed actuaries. This position will require mentoring and training of staff and will support recruiting and development activities.

This position will need to work in multi-departmental teams to support project assignments that include some or all of the following: calculation and evaluation of provider risk deals, financial planning and projections, trend analysis and geographic expansion evaluation. This role will work closely with a variety of departments including Contracting, Actuarial, Risk Adjustment, and Finance.

Critical to the role is the ability to independently design, direct and lead complex analyses to address business issues. An understanding of the health insurance industry, strong interpersonal skills and technical proficiency in relational databases, data warehouses, Excel and statistical modeling are required.

Looking for at least 4+ years of responsible healthcare actuarial experience along with management and leadership abilities.
Able to develop and lead managers/highly skilled individual contributors
Experience managing teams and individuals in a direct report and/or matrix environment
Able to mentor and develop staff using situational leadership techniques
Able to manage change and motivate teams to be high performing
ASA designation at minimum preferred.
