Client is seeking a highly skilled actuary with extensive experience in Medicare to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in assessing financial risks and opportunities, designing actuarial models, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of actuarial principles in the context of Medicare.


  • Complete actuarial documentation by reviewing and coordinating the actuarial components of financial reports, tax returns, and responses to insurance regulations. Present findings internally to mid-level leadership.
  • Develop and design evaluations of product lines, including analysis of financials, reserves, valuation, and cash flows. Interpret product line performance, risks, and assumptions critical to product development.
  • Design and execute actuarial research, utilizing advanced methods to enhance standards, assumptions, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assess, analyze, and interpret financial risks and opportunities using both traditional actuarial methods and actuarial judgment.
  • Collaborate effectively with business partners, translating complex actuarial insights into actionable recommendations. Provide accurate actuarial and financial advice in alignment with Actuarial Standards of Practice.
  • Create frameworks and assumptions for new, existing, and innovative actuarial models to meet evolving business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related field.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of actuarial experience, with a focus on Medicare. Equivalent work experience in a directly related field may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Medicare Advantage plans, Part D, and/or other Medicare programs.
  • Strong proficiency in actuarial software and modeling tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with industry trends and regulations.
