This is a full-time role, primarily focused on daily administration of outsourced and co-sourced defined benefit pension plan clients. An interest in a broad range of retirement plan work is a must as this role encompasses a variety of responsibilities. The right candidate will be coachable and adaptable, have strong administrative and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, a focus on client and participant satisfaction, desire to speak directly with participants, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
Daily support of ongoing administration work for defined benefit clients in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Regular direct participant call center service (fewer than 10 calls per week, on average).
Ad-hoc and periodic participant support, including required communications.
Partner with actuarial, compliance, communications, and fulfillment teams to optimize participant experience and help resolve arising issues.
Ability to comprehend and follow Plan Documents, standard operating procedures, and client contracts.
Participate in client contact through calls, video calls, emails, and presentations.
Help update and implement administration procedures and strategies.
Assist sales and marketing efforts by participating in prospect research and request-for-proposals process.
Travel to client meetings as needed (national, less than 5%).
Requirements
This is an entry level position, so no direct experience required, however, Defined benefit pension administration and/or call center experience preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent, with advanced education preferred. Candidate must have strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, be adaptable to change, demonstrate a desire to expand knowledge, be self-motivated, have an innovative spirit, and be able to work in a small team environment. Candidate will be proficient with Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications along with a host of other in-house software. Position must also be based in Boston area and candidate must be able to work in the office 3 days a week.
