Remote Pension Actuarial Analyst-9129
Seeking small plan pension analyst/DB administrator. May Consider a remote employee if you have strong Small Plan Cash Balance experience. Prefer DB or DB/DC background, Will support ASPPA, NIPA and EA training and credentialing.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Maintain relationships and consult with assigned clients to manage the completion of annual plan administration
Work closely with Plan Sponsors, Record-keepers, Financial Institutions and Auditors
Benefit Calculations, manage participant calculations and payments for Defined Benefit Administration
Process Loan applications, distributions, deferrals and other payroll changes
Review, interpret and advise on Plan Documents, Amendments, Notices and Summary Plan Descriptions,
Consulting on issues related to IRS and ERISA compliance,
Assist with proposals and new client conversions,
Employee data reconciliation,
Contribution/allocation calculations, including Match, Safe Harbor, Top Heavy, Profit Sharing and New Comparability
ADP/ACP, Coverage, Top Heavy, Non-discrimination and other advanced Compliance Testing
Trust Accounting preparation and reconciliation,
Governmental Filings such as Forms 5500, 8955-SSA, 5330, 1099-R / 1096 and 945
Calculation of Corrective Contributions and Distributions, including VCP and SCP filings
Maintain documentation of Client communications.
Communicate potential concerns to Team Leader and Operations Manager
Perform Annual Compliance Testing to demonstrate satisfaction of IRS regulations
Review annual valuations prepared by outsourcing and/or team members and peers for accuracy
Accurately and timely complete and/or review form 5500 for filing prior to the annual deadline
Arrange and attend client meetings to ensure communication and satisfaction,
Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
3-7 years of experience working as an actuarial analyst or DB Aministrator.
Extensive client management experience with a proven history of retention and client satisfaction
Advanced knowledge of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) and related regulations
Must have the ability to read and comprehend plan documents
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, manage tasks and meet deadlines
Must possess understanding of integral part and aspects of Retirement Plans with a special inference on 401(k) or DC plans.
