Reserving Actuarial Analyst - Casualty - Remote - 9659
Description
The Actuarial Analyst position is responsible for performing various levels of analysis related to our client projects. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who possesses strong communication and organizational skills, and is committed to the Casualty Actuarial Society exam process. This position also requires strong technical skills to pair with creative problem solving skills to assist on a wide variety of consulting projects.
Role:
-Developing spreadsheets
-Inputting and manipulating data
-Making technical improvements to legacy analyses through use of Arius, SQL, R, and Excel
-Creating data visualizations within Power BI
-Preparing report texts summarizing results of analysis
-Checking work for technical accuracy
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree
At least 2 Casualty Actuarial Society exams passed or equivalent education and/or experience
P&C reserving and/or ratemaking experience
Experience aggregating and analyzing data
Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and a data programming language (R, SAS, SQL, or Python)
Desired:
Experience with medical professional liability insurance or other claims-made insurance products
Experience with Statements of Actuarial Opinions for statutory insurance company Annual Statements
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and in data aggregation (R, SAS, SQL, or Python)
Experience with business intelligence / visualization software (e.g., Power BI or Tableau)
