Client looking to add a valuation actuary with post retirement medical and/or OPEB experience for an important role. Position can be fully remote, in office or hybrid. This role will support the ASC 965 retiree medical valuation needs for a growing client base. This Actuary will report directly to the Chief Actuary and will be responsible for:

· Reviewing of ASC 965 retiree medical actuarial valuations, reports and studies. Supervising all aspects of actuarial reports including data, plan provisions, actuarial assumptions and computer runs.

· Reviewing of IBNR and extended eligibility reserve calculations and COBRA rate calculations for multiemployer health plans.

· Working with auditors, attorneys, and other fund professionals on actuarial matters pertaining to client funds.

· Contributing to improvements and training in related areas

Ideal candidate will be a health or pension ASA with at least 5 years of experience within the benefit plans industry, be proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook, and demonstrate excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail. Willing to train in areas of deficiency. Simply need an experienced health or pension actuary at the ASA level who can sign off on these reports and wants to have exposure to work on both the pension and health sides. Client is also able to consider an EA doing this type of work 3+ years post EA designation.
