Description
Client in the Midwest has a need for a Senior Actuarial Associate with relevant work experience to work with the Statutory Modeling team in its Valuation Actuarial Department. The Senior Actuarial Associate provides actuarial analysis and technical skills in support of fulfilling the strategic objectives for the Valuation Actuarial Department. The associate contributes to the management and financial success of annuity and retirement products by performing statutory modeling, attribution analysis, analyzing in-force business, and performing model testing duties. Candidates must possess strong programming, financial and analytical skills and be able to successfully work with the Model Development, Planning, Pricing, and ERM Departments in support of a variety of actuarial initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Manage one or two team members;
Quarterly VM-21 / NY Regulation 213 stochastic modeling production and analysis for VA business;
Quarterly Bermuda business technical provision modeling production and analysis for business ceded offshore;
Quarterly CFT production support;
Year-end VM-21 / NY Regulation 213 sensitivity testing and analysis;
Year-end memo support and survey request support;
Internal and external audit request support;
Team process improvement;
Model user testing on model upgrade and enhancements;
Support team ad hoc projects.
Qualifications:
ASA or FSA
4+ years of Actuarial experience
Actuarial software experience required (Prophet, MG-Alpha, MG-Triton, etc.), Prophet experience preferred.
Annuity product knowledge and experience required;
Statutory valuation modeling experience required, VM-21 stochastic modeling or CFT modeling a plus.
