Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Actuarial Associate to join the Analytics Insights Team. This individual contributor role involves working closely with senior consultants to connect each market’s financial performance with strategies across care delivery operations, network management, and product strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop actuarial documentation by completing the actuarial sections of financial reports, tax returns, and responses to insurance regulations.
  • Participate in product line evaluations by conducting and interpreting analyses of financials, pricing, reserves, valuations, and cash flows.
  • Analyze and interpret product line performance, risks, and assumptions used in product development.
  • Implement actuarial research and apply non-complex developments in standards, assumptions, and regulatory environments.
  • Assess, analyze, and interpret financial risks and opportunities using advanced actuarial methods and conducting comprehensive actuarial analyses.
  • Collaborate with business partners to translate mathematical constructs into actionable recommendations while adhering to Actuarial Standards of Practice.
  • Develop and design advanced actuarial models, assist in developing alternative assumptions and forecasts using in-house models or actuarial software, and validate results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of actuarial experience.
  • Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) certification required.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in pulling and analyzing large datasets.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment with a desire to develop analytic and consultative skills.
  • Experience in healthcare economics and health plan functions is advantageous.
  • Passion for analytics and driving strategic insights to improve healthcare strategy.
