Description

Client looking to add a Senior Benefits Manager to their growing Defined Benefits Administration practice. This role will manage a team of 3 and will also manage the client relationship for 5-7 clients. This position will require the ability to complete calculations in EXCEL when needed. Must have the technical capability to do so.
Duties:
Manage the strategic relationship for assigned clients
Demonstrate full understanding of the client and their plans
Lead/oversee client/auditor conference calls
Establish and preserve a solid business rapport with clients and vendors
Educate clients on applicable legislation developments, market trends, and client specific challenges
Resolve complex customer service challenges
Maintain data integrity and quality; oversees payroll feed process
Census review and calculation of eligibility and benefits
Assess and respond to legal or compliance issues as directed by Compliance group
Plan, organize, and execute delivery of projects arising from client needs and expansion of services
Listen effectively to ensure clear understanding of client needs
Develop project plans along with budgets to effectively price and implement client projects
Effectively manage client expectations regarding project timing and fee estimates
Effectively manage projects in accordance with quality standards
Consistently hit targets on budgets for both internal and external projects and initiatives
Effectively train and develop staff
Qualifications:
6+ years of DB professional, administration experience
Possesses an advanced understanding of industry and professional concepts, principles, practices, and procedures
Expert knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations and professional standards
Proficient use of applicable technology
Proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and enterprise communication and travel solutions (Concur, Skype)
Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skills
Experience in coaching and teaching others
Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) or equivalent
Ability to contract with and influence leaders in the organization, good at networking, collaboration, and sharing of ideas and successes
Strong problem solver with good business analysis skills (e.g. build business cases, develop and implement plans for business cases, ask probative questions to identify requirements)
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple simultaneous assignments, manage to critical deadlines, with extraordinary attention to detail
Ability to provide technical leadership to staff
