Client experiencing growth looking to add an experienced DB retirement plan administrator with ideally 3-7 years of experience. Role is primarily focused on daily administration oversight of outsourced and co-sourced defined benefit pension plan clients as well as assisting on current and future pension plan implementations. The right candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a focus on client and participant satisfaction, strong communication skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities include:
Assist in daily operations of pension administration work for small to mid-market clients, including both periodic and ad-hoc participant and project work. This includes but is not limited to case management, pension payroll, escalation resolution, record keeping, required participant notices, reporting, etc. Be able to interface directly with clients and build trusting relationships. Provide ad-hoc and periodic participant support, including required communications.
Partner with external clients as well as internal actuarial, compliance, communications, call center, and fulfillment teams to optimize the participant experience and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Provide regular direct participant call center support. Be able to comprehend and comply with Plan Documents, standard operating procedures, and client contracts.
Help develop and implement administrative procedures, documents, and overall strategies. Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes and drive growth of the pension administration outsourcing business. Participate in client contact through calls, emails, and presentations. Help update and implement administration procedures and strategies. Assist sales and marketing efforts by participating in prospect research and request-for-proposals process. Travel to client meetings as needed (national, less than 5%). Working knowledge and proficiency of ERISA, IRS, DOL and PBGC laws and recent regulations. Familiarity with defined benefit plans, cash balance plans, and pension equity plans.

Job can be based in Boston, Denver or NYC or can also be fully remote for the right applicant.

An ideal candidate will have between 3 and 7 years of defined benefit pension administration experience. High school diploma or equivalent, with advanced education preferred. Candidate must have strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, be adaptable to change, demonstrate a desire to expand knowledge, be self-motivated, have an innovative spirit, and be able to work in a small team environment. Candidate will be proficient with Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications along with a host of other in-house software. The ideal candidate also has experience supporting and maintaining administration outsourcing systems, as well as professional certifications such as QPA or CEBS.
