SCOTT ROLLINS
President and Founder: Scott formed his own company in 1986, originally known as Search Centre, Inc., and now S.C. International, Ltd. specializing in the recruitment of Actuaries, Employee Benefits Personnel, and Data Analysts at all levels for Insurance Companies, Human Resource Consulting firms and Corporations.
Scott's recruiting career began in 1973 shortly after leaving college. Originally concentrating in the Chemical and Manufacturing industries, he switched over to the Actuarial and Benefits marketplaces in 1983.

Scott Rollins was born in Evanston, IL and raised in Northbrook, IL. Where he attended Glenbrook North High School. Scott then went to Valparaiso University in Indiana majoring in Business with a minor in Mathematics.

He has always been an avid sports enthusiast, from participating in little league through college baseball, to coaching his 2 sons in soccer and baseball. The boys are now grown and have started their own families. It’s time to play with and root on that next generation of Rollins’s.

Most at SC International, Ltd. was starting and then nurturing a business and watch it develop. Then working with and through the recruiting staff as professional recruiters developing those relationships with both client firms and people. Working with the People is the most important part of the business.

MATT DOMAN
Matt has over 25 years of recruiting experience within the actuarial and employee benefits industry all gained while working within SC International.  He has successfully recruited and placed actuaries and employee benefit professionals at all levels and across all lines of business with a specialty in the retirement and health and benefit segments.  Through his excellent interpersonal skills, work ethic and knowledge of the actuarial industry, Matt has developed strong client and candidate relationships on a national basis.  Matt is actively involved in client development, as well as mentoring and training recruiting staff within SC International.

Matt received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing and management from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL in May 1993.

Matt is married and has two teenage boys that keep him quite busy.  Matt is an avid golfer and continues to be a huge Chicago sports fan.

The favorite thing about working at SC International is the client and candidate relationships that I’ve made over the last 25+ years. These are relationships that I maintain to this day and it’s what makes this job of recruiting so enjoyable.  Being a part of helping someone transition into a new role, helping a client fill a tough search or assisting a candidate find that perfect role is what’s truly rewarding and something Matt takes pride in.

JERRY KRECEK
Education: Southern Illinois in Carbondale, IL. Major; Radio-TV Production. Minors: Business Administration and Photographic an Audiovisual technology.

Recruiting Work Experience: Recruiting Work Experience: Jerry entered the search industry in 1977. He started his own practice in 1978 specializing in Information Technology. In 2001 he migrated to Actuarial Search and Joined S.C. International in 2003. While Jerry covers the broad range of P/C, Life, Health and Pension in both Consulting and Insurance companies, his concentration is in Health and Pension Consulting firms specializing in Public Sector, Small Plan and Taft Hartley work.

Business Broker Experience: In 2006 Jerry started a separate division at S.C. International working with the owners of small actuarial consulting firms and TPAs. This work involves succession planning, which at times involves bringing in the next line of management and owners, at other times will involve selling the company. Simply stated, functioning as a business broker to aid the owners in selling their practice. Normal size of these companies will range from $250,000 through $2,500,000. The smallest books that have been sold were $100,000 in revenue for a partially retired actuary and the largest books we have worked with are in the $10,000,000 range.

About Jerry Married for 43 years with 3 children. Interests include woodworking, camping, skiing, bicycle riding, motorcycle riding, baking and cooking.

BILL RIHA
Education: B.S. in Finance and Mathematics, North Central College -- 2006

Work Experience: Bill began his recruiting career with SC International in October of 2007. He recruits across all lines of actuarial: Pensions, Health, Property & Casualty, and Life. His clients are typically insurance and consulting organizations but also include corporate clients, investment firms, and financial organizations.

Candidate focus includes: Pre-ASA, ASA, FSA, Pre-ACAS, ACAS, FCAS, CFA, MBA, PhD, etc.

As a recruiting specialist, Bill handles processes from the early stages of job identification, onto sourcing and implementation, and finally, offer and acceptance negotiation.

About Bill: B.S. in Finance and Mathematics, North Central College – 2006

Bill resides in Aurora, IL and has lived in the mid-west his entire life. He is an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. One example of a perfect evening consists of a bon fire, music, and good food and drinks with family and friends. A friendly competition of just about any game is fair game!

Favorite Thing about SCI: “I have been with SCI for almost 8 years. My co-workers are fantastic to work with and I couldn’t imagine a better place to be. Building relationships with my associates, clients, and candidates has been a wonderful experience thus far and I imagine the trend to continue for many years to come."

MARK NICKLAS
Education: B.A. Lake Forest College - 1999 with a concentration in Music, History and Sociology.

Recruiting Work Experience: Mark has spent over a decade in the recruiting industry and has focused mainly in the areas of actuarial and employee benefits. He has successfully
placed such candidates at a variety of levels within consulting firms, insurance, reinsurance and financial services companies. Mark takes great effort in sourcing the right candidates based on client needs, fully understanding candidates' career goals and strengths. He takes pride in ensuring a lasting relationship with clients and candidates with changing business dynamics.

About Mark: Married with two boys; loves spending time with his family. In his spare time, Mark enjoys music, movies and sports..

LES GOLINSKI
Education: Benjamin Franklin stated, “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest” and that is a fitting introduction to current educational aspirations. Currently completing bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on finance.

Recruiting Work Experience: Funny story about finding a career here at SCI. By attending a career fair at a local college, Les found SCI associates recruiting! Learning about the actuarial service industry, how our firm develops relationships with clients & candidates, and the research required to become a successful recruiter are all exciting challenges! Started forming relationships with actuaries across the country ever since.

About Les: Time is a luxury that Les does not get to enjoy much. On the rare evenings where obligations aren’t present, Les enjoys outdoor activities such as exercising, cooking, and improving the golf swing!

Favorite thing about working at SCI: The ability to speak freely about any subject we may be discussing that day and to have a good, spirited debate about it. The office has a way of creating excitement for all our collective successes which puts a good emphasis on teamwork.

BOB HALEY
Education: B.S. Psychology, Illinois State University, M.A. Elementary Education, Concordia University.

Recruiting Work Experience: Bob began his recruiting career with SC International, focusing primarily on placing P&C actuaries. From there, he moved on to another firm placing manufacturing and engineering personnel. After setting a company sales record, Bob was promoted to Division Manager where he led a team of 5 recruiters in this same area. He decided to start substitute teaching, got hooked on teaching, and attained his master’s degree in Elementary Education. He taught middle school science and social studies for 4 years. Bob made the decision to return to recruiting with the company where he began his career, SC International. Now he is placing actuaries in P&C, Pensions, Life/Health, and in less traditional roles.

About Bob: Bob enjoys watching his two teenagers play sports, bikes, swims, and plays as much volleyball as possible. He loves to travel both internationally and domestically. Since he has two teenagers, he looks forward to being cool again and not an embarrassment. Maybe when they hit their mid-twenties?

Favorite thing about working at SCI: His favorite things about working at SC International is that hard work is rewarded, and just as when he taught, there is an altruistic side to recruiting. When you place someone, help them change their lives for the better and they are appreciative, it makes all the hard days seem easier.
